1/30 – John Philip Sousa’s 120th Anniversary Concert; 1:00pm, Bradley County Courthouse
In Celebration of the John Phillip Sousa Band’s performance in Cleveland, TN on January 30th, 1906 and
in recognition of the rich and long-standing heritage of fine instrumental music in Cleveland, TN.
A commemoration will be held to honor John Phillip Sousa’s local visit and his legacy world-wide.
The event is set to take place at the Bradley County Courthouse Plaza* at 1:00pm, January 30th.
With performances by:
The Lee University Wind Ensemble, Dr. Joshua Pace, Director
The Cleveland High School Band, Jim Burton & Erik Simpson, Directors
Performing works including:
The Star-Spangled Banner, The Stars and Stripes Forever,
and Cleveland’s official song, The Diplomat March.
With special guest, Dr. David Holsinger
